Alonzo and Kendra
We are native Port Gibsononians having graduated as Mighty mighty Blue Waves in 1992 & 1994 respectively. We are the proud owners of the newly named Journi’s Place, a historical newly renovated home that was built in 1910. Growing up, we passed this property and never dreamed that we, as African Americans, would ever be privileged to own a home on Church Street. We watched antebellum plantation life be celebrated yearly. Now, we are not only the owners but we have opened it for ALL to have the Journi experience.
Journi's Properties & Investments, LLC is the umbrella for which we govern our services. We have two separate properties on this website. Continue to read to find out more.
(1) Journi’s Place (Port Gibson, MS): We offer short-term rental rooms. You have the option to book the entire home or book just one individual room. All rooms are equipped with individual locks on each room door for extra security. Smart TVs are in every room.
(2) Journi’s Place Events (Port Gibson, MS): Small Events (up to 80 people) feature an event space equipped with round tables and chairs that seats up to 10 people each. With that booking, you also get access to the lounge area equipped with 6 stand-up bar tables, a pool table, and a big-screen Television.
(3) Kingfisher (Arlington, TX): This is a four-bedroom home located in Arlington, TX. It’s a short-term rental and it’s only booked as a unit. It has a homely feel that features 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 workspaces, a living room, kitchen, laundry, and garage.
Now, we are not only the owners but have opened it for ALL to have the Journi experience.
